What is BM Speed Dating?
BM Speed Dating makes the first contact between students and microscopy professionals quick and easy.
You will meet 10 mentors from Brnoregion Microscopy member organisations working in research, technology development, manufacturing, applications and education.
Each conversation lasts just two minutes. Introduce yourself, discover what the organisation does, exchange ideas and ask the question that matters to you. After two minutes, you move on to the next mentor.
Conversations can take place in Czech or English.

Who can apply?
BM Speed Dating is mainly for bachelor’s and master’s students, PhD students, postdocs and other early-career researchers.
We welcome applicants from a broad range of disciplines, including biomedical and life sciences, microscopy and advanced imaging, biophysics and bioengineering, physics, nanotechnology, microelectronics, automation, computer science, AI, image processing and related fields.

- Fill in some basic information about yourself and answer a few short questions about your studies, interests and motivation.
- Submit your application by 1 October 2026.
- We will contact selected applicants after the application deadline with confirmation and further details.

You can continue your afternoon with 20 short presentations from the microscopy community and meet even more people from Brnoregion Microscopy companies, universities and research organisations. The programme continues with open networking from 16:45 to 18:30.
